Fall Pep Rally: A Boost of Scarlet Knight Spirit!
Our annual Fall Pep Rally on October 31st was already set to be exciting, but it got a serious energy boost this year! Over 700 middle school students and faculty gathered in the gymnasium that afternoon to celebrate our fantastic sports teams and enjoy some cooperative and competitive games.
The excitement really ramped up when surprise special guests from Rutgers University arrived! The Rutgers Dance Team in some fun costumes and Rutgers Women's Basketball Team brought incredible energy, teaching the crowd some classic Rutgers cheers and tossing out t-shirts that students were eager to put on.
The highlight of the afternoon came when the Scarlet Knight mascot Sir Henry himself, took center stage. Sir Henry chose the loudest student cheerer for the ultimate prize: their very own flat-screen TV! This special visit from Rutgers University served as a powerful reminder of the importance of school spirit and provided an unforgettable experience for our middle schoolers.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Rutgers Women's Basketball Team, Dance Team, and Rutgers Athletics for taking the time to visit and inspire our students. It was a thrilling and memorable afternoon celebrating school spirit and community!

As we begin the 2025–2026 school year, I am excited to welcome back our students and families. On Thursday, September 4, 2025, we will open our doors for the first day of school, with early dismissals on September 4th and 5th. Whether you are new to New Brunswick Public Schools or returning, you are an important part of our school family.
I hope this message finds you and your family well as we prepare for another exciting school year together. I want to share that the Board of Education has officially renamed Woodrow Wilson School as Robert J. Boyler Elementary School, effective immediately.
